Quarterly Report for Q2 2023

25th July, 2023

  • With half of 2023 already gone (I can’t quite believe it!), this Quarterly Update is a good time to regroup and consider just how quickly the second half might whizz by.  Sometimes we can make the mistake of scanning the horizon and deciding that those issues are tomorrow’s problem. After all, working in pensions is often a marathon not a  sprint.

    Regulation changes in April 2024?

With more pressing issues ready for sign off in the more imminent week ahead you might feel you don’t have time to worry about April 2024! But with how time passes in this modern world, April 2024 is racing from the horizon to be upon us and what was tomorrow’s problem will soon be today’s.

So, our Quarterly Report is a reminder to move your focus (temporarily) from the urgent and imminent tasks on your to-do list and consider what needs to be done to deal with tomorrow’s onrushing issues. Included are our usual offerings, investment market and DC (Defined Contribution) reports, and updates on two topics becoming mainstays in the Quarterly Report – namely, pensions dashboards and to the ever-elusive TPR’s General Code!

This quarter we also have a rundown of takeaways from the Mansion House Speech, articles delving into guidance on ED&I, and advice following the recent Capita security breach.  There are useful discussions on the publication of TPR’s annual funding statement and closing the report, we have our ‘Coming Up Next’ section, looking even further into the future to those dates that may appear distant now but will be soon right at the top of our to do lists.

As always, from everyone at Dalriada, we hope you enjoy reading the report.
