Ed Beavis

Ed is a professional trustee with over 13 years’ experience in UK pensions and is an Associate of the Pensions Management Institute. He is focused on understanding each scheme’s individual requirements, working collaboratively with all stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.

As part of his role as a professional trustee, Ed provides proactive scheme secretarial services, pensions management support and uses his depth of knowledge to help schemes develop and monitor a robust approach to pension scheme governance. He understands the multitude of tasks that are involved in successfully running a variety of pension schemes and the importance of project management in order to ensure that key day-to-day activities are delivered alongside various pension projects.

Before joining Dalriada, Ed was a consultant working on a variety of defined benefit and defined contribution schemes for two large pension consultancy firms, responsible for managing occupational pension schemes ranging from £4m to £100m. In particular, he provided scheme secretarial services to an Operations and Compliance Committee for a large hybrid pension scheme with over 10,000 members. He developed a strong understanding of UK pensions at the start of his career working in pensions administration for one of the largest third-party administrators.

Ed is currently working towards becoming an Accredited Professional Trustee and has worked with one of Dalriada’s APPT Council members to help draft the APPT’s Consultation response to the proposed DB Funding Code
