Sarah Brough

Sarah Brough is an Accredited Professional Trustee, based in our London office.

Sarah joined us in January 2021 from the Government Actuary’s Department where she was Deputy Chief Actuary of Funded Schemes for 10 years. She has more than 25 years’ experience in providing actuarial advice to public sector bodies, sponsors and trustees of DB schemes from £50m to multi-billion pounds in size.

Across her portfolio, Sarah acts as chair, co-trustee and sole trustee for DB schemes with assets under management of c£50m to £1bn. She has been involved in an extensive range of strategic projects including funding solutions, investment strategy reviews, governance reviews, scheme merger, buy-outs and wind-ups. With deep public sector experience, she is particularly interested in working with schemes in the not-for-profit sector.

Sarah sits on the IFoA’s Pensions Practice Board and is former Chair of the IFoA’s Pensions Lifelong Learning Sub-committee. She previously sat on the Audit and Risk Committee for a UK Chairty.

Outside of pensions, Sarah is a keen parkrunner and enjoys travel, photography and gardening.
