Tom is a Director of Dalriada Trustees and leads our business across the Midlands. He has broad pensions experience with particular expertise in restructuring and corporate transactions. Prior to joining Dalriada, he was a Restructuring and Covenant Advisory partner with Ernst & Young LLP.
He has worked with a range of trustee boards managing scheme assets from c£10 million to in excess £1 billion. Similarly, he is experienced in working with a broad spectrum of sponsoring employers from small, owner managed businesses through to much larger, global and fully listed groups.
His experience, both as an adviser and trustee representative, includes managing the scheme valuation process, on scheme funding issues and scheme management more generally, investment strategy reviews and implementation, restructuring and transactional situations, buy-in/buy-out projects and on integrated risk management, incorporating his detailed employer covenant knowledge in to wider scheme journey planning, strategy and management.
Tom’s Trusteeship roles include as co-trustee, chair of trustees and sole trustee appointments. Given his background and wider experience, Tom leads on some of our most sensitive, complex and high profile appointments, combining commercial experience and pragmatism with a collaborative approach to deliver outcomes in often challenging situations.
