UK independent trustee firm, Dalriada Trustees Limited, has secured the services of one of the UK pensions industry’s highest profile professionals with the appointment of Richard Favier as a trustee representative.
Favier, who was Head of Restructuring and Insolvency at the Pension Protection Fund (PPF) from its inception to 2013, is also a former adviser to Government Ministers on UK, European and international insolvency policy. Awarded an OBE in 2011 for Services to Business, he was at the heart of all restructuring projects involving the PPF including Nortel, Lehman, Kodak and UK Coal. He left the PPF in 2013 to set up his own consultancy business Favier Ltd and has since been involved in a number of pensions-related projects for clients, including advising on the rescue of Monarch Airways. Richard is also a regular speaker at UK and international restructuring conferences and a member of the International Insolvency Institute and the American College of Bankruptcy.
Commenting on his appointment, Richard said: “I am delighted to be able to bring my restructuring and insolvency knowledge to the role of trustee with Dalriada, a firm which I have got to know well over recent years. During my time at the PPF I was impressed by the professionalism of Dalriada’s people and their commitment to delivering high quality work.”
Adrian Kennett, Director of Dalriada Trustees, said: “Securing Richard’s services as a trustee representative is very significant for our business. He is, without a doubt, one of the key players within the UK pensions industry of the last decade whose extensive track record in numerous high profile cases speaks for itself and gives us a unique position in the market.
“We’re therefore delighted to welcome Richard on board and look forward to working closely with him to engage within our clients. This appointment is another positive step forward for Dalriada which further underlines the firm’s progression.”
